Pay rise demo put on hold

The TUC has postponed a planned cost of living crisis protest outside the Conservative party spring conference in Blackpool on Saturday 19 March. Instead it intends to rally support for a day of solidarity with Ukraine organised by the ITUC for 15 March (see page 4).

A TUC spokesperson said: “The wages and bills crisis is about to bite. So we will be bringing our campaign to win pay rises and a new deal for workers to a town or city near you soon and hosting a national mobilisation in London this summer.”
