Take a hearing check, say unions
The TUC wants workers to tackle the hidden workplace hazard of hearing loss.
It is promoting the RNID charity's "Break the Sound Barrier" campaign, which lets people take a five-minute hearing test on the phone by calling 0845 600 5555.
"Many older workers are struggling to get by at work, either because they are too ashamed to admit to their hearing loss or because they have no idea what to do about it," said TUC general secretary Brendan Barber.
