LRD executive committee

There are three new faces on the LRD executive committee for April 2001 to March 2002. They are Richard Barker (nominated by the GPMU print and media union), Kelvin Scott (nominated by public services union UNISON Wiltshire police branch) and Peter Terry (nominated by UNISON Eastern Region).

The main change to the committee has come with the departure of Popatlal Jariwala of the Feltham & Heston Constituency Labour Party, who has served on the LRD executive committee for just over 20 years. LRD staff and committee members would like to express their thanks to Popatlal for his contribution over the years.

The other members of the committee are: Sam Apter (MSF manufacturing, science and finance union London region), David Baker (GPMU Kent branch), Eddy Batchelor (T&G general union), Helen Donoghue (Association of University Teachers), Chris Finnerty (Engineers' and Managers' Association), Warren Glover and Sue Sleeman (jobshare, Chartered Society of Physiotherapy), Dave Gott (RMT rail and transport union), Jack Moss (GMB general union), Mary Nicholas (Medical Research Council Staff Side Committee), Ian Rashbrook (ASLEF train drivers' union), Alan Sapper (MSF London Region) and Enrico Tortolano (Public and Commercial Services union). Howard Marchant (Connect telecom managers' union) continues as honorary treasurer.
