Phil Evans (1946-2014)

The Labour Research Department is sorry to report the death in March of cartoonist Phil Evans.

For more than 20 years, from 1981 to 2004, Phil produced hundreds of cartoons, such as the one below, to illustrate our publications, particularly LRD booklets.

In 1986, LRD produced a collection of his cartoons as the Labours and researches of Evans.

His cartoons were funny and always to the point — and made material that was sometimes complex and complicated easier to grasp.Phil is greatly missed by all.
