Code on bullying

The Federation of Entertainment Unions (FEU) has produced a code of conduct on bullying and harassment and is working with employers and organisations in the entertainment industries to adopt the code.

The code can be used to create or update a company’s policy or be included in any house agreement. The seven-union FEU, which represents workers in TV, film, music, theatre, new media, professional football, publishing and cinema has also published a set of guidelines for staff and freelance workers. It says it is vital that freelance and casual workers are included in the policies and procedures.

The guidelines explain the difference between bullying, harassment and discrimination and set out advice and procedures for dealing with bullying for staff members and freelance workers.
