Injury compensation

The public and commercial services PCS union has reported that its lawyers recovered more than £3 million last year in compensation for members (and their family members) injured in accidents that were not their fault.

The settlements included £155,000 for a Metropolitan Police member who was seriously injured in a work-related road traffic accident, and £125,000 for a prison administrative officer at a young offender institution following a slip at work that left her physically disabled for months.
