Millions paid under £5

Over 6.3 million workers in the UK are being paid under £5 an hour, according to a survey from the T&G general union. Nearly two thirds (63%) of the workers are women. Over four million women were on less than £5 an hour compared to 2.3 million men.

The North West was the worst affected region with 808,000 workers

earning under £5.
