RPI inflation rises again

The annual inflation rate under the RPI Retail Prices Index was up to 1.1% in November against a rise of just 0.7% the previous month. Higher transport costs were among the main contributors to the rise, offset in part by a fall in clothing prices.

Inflation under the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) — the government’s preferred measure — turned positive again. The CPI rate was 0.1% against minus 0.1% the previous two months.
