Shopworkers organise
Shopworkers' union USDAW has enrolled another 18 reps to its Organising Academy, after a successful pilot project involving 15 reps last year. They will be seconded from their normal workplace to spend six months developing their union organising skills.
Last year's reps recruited 5,000 new members, identified over 200 potential new activists and ran major organising campaigns in over 75 workplaces.
