New campaign on noise and vibration

The Health and Safety Executive has launched a campaign to prevent permanent damage to workers’ health from excessive noise or vibration.

Aiming to eliminate new cases of occupational noise-induced hearing damage and of disability caused by hand-arm vibration, the Noise and Hand-Arm Vibration Programme will focus on hand-arm vibration until March 2007, and then on noise at work for the following 12 months.
