Equality duty guidance

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has published a revised version of Equality information and the equality duty: a guide for public authorities.

This is the second edition of this guide, which was revised to reflect the Equality Act 2010 (Specific Duties) Regulations 2011 published by the government last June. These came into force on 10 September 2011.

This new guide will be of interest to staff right across public authorities, but particularly those responsible for collecting and using equality information.

It will also assist those who have an interest in the work of public authorities such as service users, voluntary bodies, unions and equality organisations.
