ŠKODA workers win 5%

Workers at ŠKODA AUTO, part of the VW group, are to receive a 5% pay increase this year.

The agreement, which was signed on 20 April, runs for 12 months to 31 March 2013.

As well as the pay increase, which is significantly above inflation, currently 2.6% (April), the deal also includes an increase in the employers’ pension contribution, and confirmation that the results-linked bonus to be paid in respect of 2011, will be 20,000 Czech Krona (about €780 or £625) a head. ŠKODA employs 27,000 in the Czech Republic.
