Poles get €440

The Polish labour ministry has formally announced that the national minimum wage will go up to 1,850 zł (€440 or £321) from 1 January. This is a 5.7% increase on the 1,750 zł paid from the start of this year, and the increase reflects both inflation and the forecast growth in output (GDP).

The unions wanted the rate to rise to at least 1,880 zł as a step towards the ultimate goal of a minimum wage set at 50% of median earnings.
