No movement in settlements


There was no change in the overall settlement’s rise. In the three months to October, the median rise in settlements from LRD’s Payline database was once again 2.0% — just as it has been for the year so far.


Private sector deals were running at 2.2% in the three months to October period against 2.0% for the remainder of the year. Meanwhile, in the public sector, the median rebounded to 2.0% from 1.2% in September.


With the inflation under the Retail Prices Index rising by 2.0% in October, the average worker’s living standards are not improving.
